In my last days in Sydney before flying to London, I baked some treats to go with the Details pretty pink vintage plates that are part of her 2nd capsule.
Seeing as though we are both only in the initial stages of our projects, we are both working out of home, which means getting creative.
Food is super hard to shoot, and the light is everything! I try to avoid shadows, although Dee was starting to make me appreciate the mood they can create.
Dee shoots on film on an old camera she has, and you can really see the difference between those and the ones taken digitally.
Dee has been collecting vintage clothes and homewares over the last few years, building her collection for the Details store. We both share a love of pink, and even though our business' differ we have both been going through the same business plan, website creation and general start up dramas.
It was so awesome having a second set of eyes, and super fun having someone to bounce ideas off. Have to say I'm quite proud of the results and its very interesting to see my food styled so differently. And of course, its great to have someone to help clean up the mess!!
At Wander we are always keen to collaborate, or help out young women where possible.
Looking forward to Details x Wander V.2 in London in 2018!
In the meantime go to www.thedetailsstore.com to view her collection and/or follow her on Insta @thedetailsstore to keep a look out for capsule 3!
